a day of many...

firsts, that is. we pulled out kennedy's little pink bathing suit and had a blast! she is such a good sport! we had sunglasses and a little hat, and she couldn't have cared less. she was a splishing and a splashing!

walking down main street

my mom has been here visiting, and that is really the only excuse i have for not posting anything (buck). we walked main street for the first time and checked out all of the cute little shops. kennedy absolutely loved being in her stroller!

me versus the blender...

i decided after all of my reading that i would make our own baby food. i figured since i had the time on my hands, not to mention the overall nutritional value, why not give it my best shot? this weekend i put the puree cycle on my blender to the test. i made sweet peas, carrots, bananas, peaches and sweet potatoes. it was actually pretty easy. after getting them all to the right consistency, i just poured it into ice cube trays and froze it. not too shabby if i say so myself!

she is so funny, i think she really liked the sun!

i think this was the best one ;-)

some of you may know that i love to take pictures. usually black and whites are my favorite, but after experiencing my first REAL winter, the vivid spring time colors just look so much better! i guess it really takes not having something to appreciate another? hmmmmm. here are a few of the pics i took.

Please be patient

o.k., i am new to this whole blogging thing as most of you already know. several of my friends already do it (lb), so i have something to sorta go by, but please bear with me.

life at our house has been a little bit hectic lately. kennedy has been teething, and finally has two teeth that just broke through her gums. she is more than happy to have that whole painful episode behind her, as am i. since she was born, she has been such a happy, carefree baby, who hardly ever cries and is very easily soothed. needless to say, the past week and a half has been a little bit different. i was so glad to see those soon-to-be chompers pop up!

thomas is still working in west virginia, so it is only kennedy and i here during the week. i have been busy this week doing some spring cleaning and getting all of our winter clothes moved from our once very full closets to the basement... out of sight, out of mind! golfing weather here i come!
